It's absolutely fantastic! To be honest I loved all of them but this one caught my eye the most, I have a bit of a fascination with masks. I might even try and make one myself if I ever get time. I enjoyed looking through your livejournal. Very inspiring!

Thank you! Yes, in a round about way, the pumpkins are how I found clay. I thought I would get into woodcarving since it seemed to parallel the pumpkin carving. I signed up for a class and found out the day before it was supposed to start that it didn't make. They asked if I wanted to take something else in the meantime until the next session started. A throwing class just happened to be during the same time as the wood carving class. I had absolutely no interest in it, but I figured it would fill some time. As soon as I threw my first pot I was hooked and never made it to wood. That was almost exactly a year ago. I really want to get into carving my clay, but I'm having too much fun at the moment learning new things about clay. Eventually I will start carving it.

Your carvings are tremendous! I envy your skill and patience. Having tried to carve a simple halloween face in a pumpkin and making a disaster of it I'm totally in awe of your carvings, and of course the subject is perfect
